Faster Shipping and Higher Revenue With an AliExpress Alternative: How Beginners Are Making $1000 on Day 1

While it may seem challenging and potentially costly, there are ways to make as much as $1,000 or more by getting one- to two-day shipping for new eCommerce businesses while using an AliExpress alternative. Let’s dive into how you can profit from one- or two-day shipping when launching your dropshipping business.

Turn to Amazon to Win With This Strategy

Hear us out here. Yes, we know that Amazon isn’t the most sustainable platform to rely on alone, but it is one of the keys to getting the ideal shipment setup for your business if you want to expedite shipping for your customer. The right strategy can help you get the best results when using Amazon as part of your approach.

To summarize, our expert went through the following steps:

  1. Received an order from a customer
  2. Went into his Amazon account
  3. Paid for the product and entered the customer’s details
  4. Marked the item as a gift
  5. Shipped it to the customer within two days

We’ve found a couple of ways to implement this strategy successfully, so let’s get started on this AliExpress alternative.

1. Saturated Products

Screenshot of finding products in a saturated market

One of the products our expert managed to make $1,000 per week with was a saturated product—specifically, a product in the resistance bands niche.

Today, resistance bands are among the most popular workout products out there. They help with strength-gaining exercises and are very easy to find at an affordable price, particularly on Amazon.

Seek Products With Ample Suppliers and Varied Pricing

When looking for the right product to target, whether it’s in fitness or another niche, the key is to find one with many suppliers offering the product at a wide range of prices. For instance, just looking again at resistance bands, there is such a wide variety of sets and suppliers at prices ranging anywhere from around $10 to $30.

When a customer orders one of these products, you would purchase it from Amazon through your account at a lower price and sell it at a higher one. Going back to resistance bands as an example, you might buy a set of resistance bands at the base price of $10 and sell it for closer to $30.

Increase the Value of Your Customer’s Order

Now, this isn’t simply about price markups; you want to add more value to your customer’s order than what they would get from Amazon without spending more on your end. In our case, we grouped the original product we ordered with about six to seven other niche-relevant digital products. These products included everything from workout guides and meal plans to complete glossaries for almost every workout you could do.

In other words, we sold a complete workout program in addition to resistance bands. We transformed a relatively mundane Amazon product that anyone could buy on that platform into a high-end bundle. That makes the markup worth the purchase. In the process, we were able to ship from the same supplier.

Don’t Worry About Customers Receiving Amazon-Labeled Packaging

One concern you might have with this AliExpress alternative is what customers might think if they receive an Amazon package instead of a package with your branding.

Based on our experience shipping thousands of products through Amazon, we have received zero customer complaints regarding their packaging. But if anyone asks or complains, you can simply explain that Amazon helped get your products to them faster.

This particular model is ideal because it allows for faster product shipping, which is ultimately what customers care about the most. You can also satisfy customers with high-quality digital products that help put you above Amazon.

Our expert not only made his customers happy with their orders with this strategy, but he also managed to get 60 influencers to work with him to grow his brand faster.

2. High-Ticket Products

Screenshot of using Amazon to find products

The second strategy you can use is to go after certain high-ticket products, which entails the following steps:

Find Multiple Manufacturers of a High-Price Product in Your Niche

To start with, we took a look at some high-ticket products in the fitness niche. Using a portable pilates wheel as a launching pad, we looked for other brands offering the same type of product at relatively high prices.

We were able to find multiple pilates wheel systems from multiple manufacturers at various prices. Then we identified certain quality differences between them. What you want to do is meet the quality of the product sold at the higher price, which will allow you to sell it at the same price.

Look for a Less Expensive Item That You Can Transform into a High-Ticket Product

Once you’ve found that high-ticket item, look for another essentially identical product from another manufacturer that’s going for a slightly lower price. In our case, our high-ticket pilates wheel sold at around $89. The one we planned to sell was priced at $59.99. If we increase the value of the latter product, we can sell it at the former’s price.

The way we would increase the value of the cheaper pilates wheel would be to use the same strategy as we used with saturated products; sell it with a combination of valuable digital items. These products may include pilates workout guides, other similar fitness booklets, ebooks, and more.

This strategy also helps you ship products faster while maximizing dropshipping profits.

How to Create Profitable Digital Products That You Can Repurpose and Resell

Dropshipper using Amazon as an AliExpress alternative

Are you curious about how to get a hold of those digital products you need to boost your products’ value? There’s a simple strategy we’ve used that can help you create an endless inventory of niche-specific items.

Consider the pilates wheel—let’s say you want to create a workout guide. Here, you can find some popular YouTube video guides for pilates workouts. You can then hire someone on a site like Fiverr to convert these videos into text and image guides. You’ll then have your own digital products that you can rebrand and include with your pilates wheel product. This justifies your price markups.

Be Cautious With These Strategies and Transition Away From Amazon as an AliExpress Alternative

While both of these strategies we discussed can help you get orders to customers faster and boost revenue, it’s worth reiterating that Amazon dropshipping isn’t the most sustainable model.

For one, Amazon could become suspicious of your account if it appears you’re taking advantage of its lower pricing and placing many orders of the same or similar products. Also, customers may become more familiar with the products you’re bundling with your digital content and the brands behind them. That takes the attention away from your own brand.

At some point, you’re better off transitioning away from Amazon as your AliExpress alternative; when you can, switch to an American warehouse where you can fulfill your orders and promote your brand. This is precisely what we did with one of our seven-figure dropshippers who started with Amazon before establishing his brand’s proof of concept and turning to us.

How We Launch Dropshipping Businesses Daily to Make Sales on Day One

Every day, we help businesses of all types excel with dropshipping from the start of their journey. We recently helped yet another one of our clients launch their dropshipping business and make sales on day one. Here we’ll review what exactly we did for this client and reveal how you can implement some of these strategies when developing your own business.

While a lot of businesses get into dropshipping with unrealistic expectations, we’ll go over what kind of results this Business in a Box client managed to see and what you can expect. Specifically, we’ll be looking at stats gathered over the course of the first two days after launch, which can give you a good idea of the kinds of numbers you can achieve with a strong strategy in place.

Using a Deep Discount Offer to Make Sales on Day One

When looking at our client’s back-end stats, we managed to help make them $265.61 in gross sales over the first two days, with an average cart value of $66.40. We achieved these goals after spending around $20-30 per day on advertising.

The kind of offer behind these stats was something called a deep discount offer, which is notably different from a “free plus shipping” offer. You may be familiar with “free plus shipping” offers, in which lower shipping costs can cover both the product costs and shipping. These offers are often helpful because they attract new customers while enabling businesses to break even. Deep discounts, on the other hand, entail attempts to increase profits on the front end.

However, whether you use “free plus shipping” or deep discount offers, it’s important to keep in mind that advertising is primarily intended to help build assets for your business. For example, your ads could bring in email addresses and other details that you can then use to follow up with customers.

Implementing Opt-Ins and Upsells in a Complete Funnel

Screen of a Business in a Box client's revenue

As mentioned, this client’s average cart value (ACV) is $66.40. This is an impressive ACV that could drive huge success if it continues in this trend. Normally, the ACV will show how much a dropshipper can spend to acquire a customer. With the help of a successful sales funnel, however, you can usually earn that money back to help cover product costs.

A Two-Step Opt-In Form to Get Customers Started

This particular client’s funnel consisted of an order form page to start with, followed by a couple of upsells. Using this funnel, our client achieved an opt-in rate of 26.52%, with 48 of 181 unique visitors opting in. For a two-step order form, this opt-in rate was perfectly acceptable. On these forms, we asked for the customer’s name, email, phone number, and address. In the process, a two-step order form like this can collect a lot of information that could assist you later.

In most cases, a two-step order form like this may yield a 25-30% conversion rate, while a regular opt-in form is more likely to see an opt-in rate of over 30%. Although it may seem like a regular opt-in form is better based on these numbers, the fact is that you’ll get better leads with a two-step form. This is because the people who opt-in through a two-step form are more invested in the product behind it.

After people went through the opt-in, our client managed to attract only four sales to give us a conversion rate of 2.21%. This is not a great conversion rate by any standard, but this is typical when just starting out. Remember, when first launching Facebook or other ad campaigns, these platforms won’t have your buyers figured out yet. As they collect more data and interpret it, your ads’ targeting will be able to improve over time to connect with people who are more interested in your offerings.

In the end, through our opt-in form, we made a total of $170.82 in sales. Compare this to the total gross amount of $265.61, and you’ll see where upsells came into play to make sales on day one.

Upsells That Help Maximize Sales

Another mistake that many dropshippers make is relying on their opt-in page alone and neglecting to use upsells. They tend to focus on the first-time sale and don’t think about the sales that follow.

For this client, the first upsell we implemented made a total of $26.91 with a conversion rate of 37.50% among three customers. The second upsell landed an extra $33.94, giving us a conversion rate of 28.57% with two customers. Finally, the third upsell earned another $33.94, with two customers accounting for a flat conversion rate of 40%. The last few upsells didn’t give us any results in those first two days, but the three that worked managed to bring that total value from $170.82 to $265.61.

These numbers clearly show the value of using upsells to help generate more sales beyond that initial opt-in. Once someone enters your sales funnel through that first page, they’re far more inclined to make additional purchases on the way to the final checkout.

How to Locate the Best Upsells for Your Dropshipping Store

Screen grab of Peter Pru discussing the value of upsells

With the invaluable asset of upsells in mind, you may be wondering how you can find the ideal upsells for your store so you can make sales on day one. You can easily do so by taking the following steps:

1. Look on Amazon

To start with, you can search on Amazon under your main product’s “frequently bought together” items. This data is immediately available for you to use to guide your upsells.

2. Sell More of the Same

You can also try selling the same item the customer just chose to buy through the opt-in form. In some cases, it may be worth it to sell more of the same item at a discount if the product is something the customer would want to buy in larger quantities.

3. Monthly Offers

In addition to the same or similar items, you can sell monthly subscriptions of digital or physical products that customers would like to receive regularly. This can help bring recurring revenue every month that you might otherwise miss. Subscriptions could include everything from eBooks and courses to various accessories for their main product and miscellaneous items in the same niche.

Build a Solid Sales Funnel to Get the Best Results and Make Sales on Day One

Online business owner strategizing about how to make sales on day one

Realistically, you’re not likely to earn thousands of dollars within the first few days of launching your dropshipping business. That doesn’t mean you won’t earn these kinds of figures over time, but there are steps you need to take to get there. Based on this client’s example, you can see the importance of using a compelling offer, along with a structured sales funnel that consists of an opt-in and upsells. Through the use of a strong funnel, you’ll be able to experience great results that are only going to get better with continued optimization and persistence.

Read These Five Books That Made Me a Millionaire Before 30

I’ve made millions of dollars online — but I didn’t do it alone. In fact, no one can do it alone. When you’re just starting out on any business venture, it helps to have mentors to guide you. People who have tried, failed, and forged through for success. It’s not always possible to have a mentor, however, which is why it’s great when someone distills their experience — or the experiences of other people — into a book. For years, I’ve read at least a book a week, including these five books that made me a millionaire. It puts me inside the mind of experts and advanced thinkers, exposing me to new ideas and ways of thinking.

As an entrepreneur, books are one of the best investments you can make in yourself. They’re inexpensive and are often packed with knowledge and actionable advice you can use to learn, grow, and improve yourself. In this post, I’m going to talk about five books that made me a millionaire before I turned 30. I may have read them when I was young, but they can help people of any age become more successful.

If I could have five books, forever, without any others, these would be the five. You may not have heard of some, but I promise you they will absolutely change your life.

1. Atlas Shrugged

Screen grab of Peter Pru talking about Atlas Shrugged

This novel took me six months to get through. I first read it on my honeymoon in Greece and could not put it down. It was that gripping and effective.

People have made movies based on this book. They’re all terrible. Stick with the original work if you want to absorb the key concepts and messages in its pages.

The main concept you should take away from this book is to shift your mindset in life from being a consumer to being a producer. Most people drift through life endlessly consuming things: TV, food, clothing, or cars. The producers in this world are the ones that make all the money.

This is something of a controversial book, but those are the ones most worth reading. Find this one today. It will take some time to work your way through it, but it will change the way you think about life.

2. Breakthrough Advertising

This is the “Bible” of everything you need to know about advertising, sales, marketing, and persuasion. That’s a market flooded with resources and books on these topics, but this is the top one. Today you’ve got so many people telling you how to make money online. If you ask most of them, they’ll say this is on their bookshelf.

It’s hard to find. I used to flip them for $300 a copy, dropshipping them from the direct supplier. That’s how in-demand it is.

This is a masterclass in so many topics related to effective advertising, like writing copy. When I go through my copy of this book, every page has highlighted text on it. It’s dripping with value.

A word of warning: it’s not a book you go through and read 20 pages at a time. You’ll find it better to read one page, let the concepts marinate in your head, and then go to another page the next day.

3. No B.S. Wealth Attraction

Man reading an ebook on a tablet at home

The author of this book, Dan Kennedy, is someone I consider a mentor. He’s a legend in terms of not just marketing and advertising but also mindset and money.

This is my favorite book of his many great ones. It will help you shift your “lack of abundance” mindset when it comes to wealth and money. Kennedy’s words show that creating wealth is about much more than action, though that’s a huge part of it. It also greatly depends on how you think about money and your ability to create wealth.

Kennedy also offers a six-hour video crash course on YouTube. I highly recommend checking that out, as well.

4. The 48 Laws of Power

Screen grab of Peter Pru discussing the 48 Laws of Power

Robert Greene, the book’s author, has some other phenomenal work about social dynamics. This is a tough book to get through, as each chapter contains a different lesson packed with dense details. It contains stories from throughout history meant to demonstrate Greene’s specific point in each chapter and is dry at times.

So how can you make it through this book, which can sometimes feel like a history or social studies textbook from high school?

My recommendation is to get the audiobook to follow along with the book as you’re reading it. It teaches a lot of valuable best practices in how to succeed in today’s world.

Plus, listening to the audiobook helps the stories resonate more as you experience them in another format. The lessons are well worth experiencing, so do whatever you can to get your hands on and read this book. (If you love audiobooks, that’s a great way to get through any of these five books that made me a millionaire.)

5. The 12 Month Millionaire

This one is a big book that is also controversial. Written by Vincent James, it has valuable lessons on every page.

Why is it controversial? It’s because the author went to jail. But that doesn’t mean you should discount his experience and knowledge. In this book, he documented exactly how he made $100 million. He outlines the steps he took to build wealth quickly.

I’d say those are lessons worth learning, no?

It’s hard to get your hands on a copy of this one. You may have to find a PDF copy on eBay. There’s a good reason why it’s so in demand, though. It provides you with a blueprint for how to make $100 million.

That’s not to say it will be easy for you after reading this, but it at least gives you the informational infrastructure you can use to succeed.

I can’t recommend these five books that made me a millionaire highly enough. Reading them in and of itself won’t make you wealthy — you still need to take action. But they’ll give you plenty of useful life lessons and best practices you can then leverage into creating your own empire.

How to Make $250 a Day Online Without a Website

Are you wondering how to make $250 a day online, all for free and without a website? Facebook Marketplace dropshipping could be your ideal solution.

As a Facebook dropshipper, you can make thousands of dollars promoting trending products from eCommerce sites such as Etsy, Amazon, eBay, and more. All you have to do is choose a trending product with a substantial value, such as furniture and other handmade products, and begin promoting it on Facebook Marketplace at a substantial profit.

With Etsy’s more than 4.3 million active sellers, the marketplace seems to be a goldmine for high-quality products. That’s why Etsy dropshipping often seems too good to be true. For instance, you could source quality handmade furniture for about $1,000 and sell it on Facebook Marketplace for as much as $1,250, making a profit of $250 on the spot.

Facebook Marketplace Dropshipping Options for How to Make $250 a Day

Dropshipping is a business model that suits risk-averse entrepreneurs looking to begin an eCommerce business without the need to manufacture products, carry inventory, or ship the items to their customers.

Although you can opt for Shopify dropshipping, Amazon dropshipping, or eBay dropshipping, many people tend to prefer Etsy dropshipping for a variety of reasons, including:

  • The opportunity to sell handmade products: Etsy dropshipping allows you to sell a variety of handmade products which other popular dropshipping platforms don’t provide. So, you can sell unique and pricier products such as knitted blankets, handmade furniture, and other crafts.
  • Etsy is rich in certain niche-based products: If you want to sell handmade goods, wedding products, and printables, Etsy is an excellent marketplace for those niches. You might also be interested in dropshipping digital products or wedding accessories.

Why You Should Focus on How to Make $250 a Day by Dropshipping on Facebook

Screen grab of Peter Pru on Etsy

Online store owners often spend a lot of money to reach out to new customers. However, Facebook boasts of more than 2.8 billion users, with most of them active several times each day. This creates a ready pool of potential buyers to reach out to with your products without spending a coin.

Besides, many marketing activities, such as gaining followers and posting content, are completely free on Facebook. Since some eCommerce platforms such as Etsy have one-click apps for linking products to Facebook, you can keep your product descriptions and inventory updated in real time.

If you want to reach a wider audience, Facebook advertising is quite inexpensive. Targeted ads can pull directly from your Facebook Marketplace. That means you don’t spend money advertising to users who have never shown interest in your products.

The Facebook marketplace customization tools are also pretty respectable. You can create a beautiful, clean storefront that showcases your products in different galleries. Additionally, you can leverage Facebook Insights to understand how customers respond to your products and posts. Typically, the infrastructure is set up for you, so you won’t need to worry about creating your payment gateway landing page.

How to Sell on Facebook Marketplace for Free

Screen grab of Peter Pru showing how to use Facebook Marketplace

Once you know how to make $250 a day, it might be time to scale up your eCommerce business. In fact, it’s highly recommended that you automate your dropshipping business to break new barriers with your monthly earnings. However, if you’re in it for the short-term or want to make some extra dollars with a side hustle, you could manually import products to your Facebook Marketplace.

Note that the process consumes quite some time when importing multiple products. Also, you’ll have to regularly refresh your supplier’s pages to make sure the stock levels and prices haven’t changed.

Having said that, here is how to import products to your Facebook Marketplace and begin your dropshipping business:

  • First, go to Facebook Marketplace and click ‘Create New Listing.’
  • When prompted for images of the product, grab the product images from Etsy or other eCommerce platforms that you want to sell from. You can either download and upload the photos or simply take screenshots.
  • When asked for the product description, simply copy the description from Etsy and paste it into Facebook. Do the same for the title, or create your own engaging title to encourage click-through.
  • Next, choose the right category. Set the condition to new and type in the brand name. Alternatively, you can simply name it “Branded” if you don’t want to disclose the brand details.

Pricing and Order Processing

When it comes to pricing, you’ll need to check the price from Etsy. Then increase it enough to cover your profit and the Facebook Marketplace 5% fee. Under Availability, select ‘List as in Stock’ to ensure you can continue selling the same product even after the listed item sells. Otherwise, the system will indicate “out of stock” status after a single sale. Once the item sells, head over to Etsy, add the item to the cart, and begin the checkout process.

When prompted to key in the billing address, put your address. However, in the shipping address, use the customer’s address as placed on Facebook Marketplace. Now, here is the cool thing. Etsy will ship the item directly to your customer without you having to touch or handle the package.

How to When Know It’s Time to Move on to New Products

It may seem in your best interest to continue using a winning dropshipping product that’s previously gotten great results. But that’s not always the case. There are certain situations when it’s ideal to cut your losses, drop the product, and move on to new products.

If you stick with a product that’s no longer generating the kind of income you want, you may wind up losing money if you don’t switch to a new source of revenue. So much of people’s success in dropshipping comes down to momentum and the encouragement it brings. But businesses lose drive when they’re bleeding money. This is why it’s important to know when to make the necessary transition to maintain that momentum.

In this post, we’ll go over when you should move on to new products as your current products begin losing momentum.

Test Your Facebook Ads to Determine Their Effectiveness

First, it’s important to know how often you should test your ads to determine their effectiveness in the sales funnel. This can help you gauge when it’s time to move on to new products — or a new strategy.

Here we’ll be strictly referring to Facebook ads, which are commonly used. As an example, we’ll use an ad with a “free plus shipping” offer, which we recommend using when you’re just starting out as a broke beginner. Even if you make some mistakes with this offer, you can still make money.

For a typical ad with a “free plus shipping” offer, we would start with a budget of $250, which we spread to $30 per day across a six- or seven-day period. One mistake we see a lot of people make here is that they’ll spend around $30 on ads for one day. But they won’t make any money on them, so they turn them off entirely. Unfortunately, this is the mindset that many beginners have in dropshipping, which keeps them from being able to test ads effectively.

What you really need to do is invest a full $250 in a single week. This will more accurately show you how effective your campaigns are as you test your campaigns. Within a week, you can begin to see certain trends that stand out. For instance, you’ll likely find that certain days perform better than others. This can help you schedule your ads and determine when to expect sales.

Here’s why we recommend you give your ads seven days to work their magic or encourage you to move on to a new online business strategy.

Your First Three Days Will Be the Most Crucial

Breakdown of how to organize ad spending over the first three days

As we explore the first week of an ad campaign, the first three days will be the most important. The first day will be the day you launch your ads, followed by the next two days, all of which will have ads running for $30 per day. Throughout these three critical days, it’s important not to touch anything as you let your ads do their job.

During this time frame, you’ll want to keep an eye on a few key elements, including:

CTR

The first item to look at is your click-through rate (CTR) for each day, which should be around 2%. If your CTR falls around that mark, this indicates that people are actively interested in your ads. If your CTR is too low, you may need to change the ad creative to entice more people to click, be it a modified image, video, or text. Ideally, you should run ads using three different pieces of creative material to see which performs the best.

We suggest you look at the CTR regularly on days one and two. This can help you determine if it’s likely to continue increasing or remaining steady. After two days, if some ads still see low CTR, turn them off. Also, if ads don’t see more than a 0.5% conversion rate on day one, chances are this won’t increase through day three.

Landing Page Stats

Once you’ve determined that your CTR is where it should be, it’s time to look at your landing page, at which point you’re looking at your funnel stats. Are people opting in? If not, this could indicate a problem with your landing page and the value of the offer. Your ideal opt-in rate should be at least 25%.

If your opt-in rate is below 25%, you may need to modify the offer to encourage more people. Generally, try modifying your current offer before you move on to new products entirely. In this case, we recommend using an offer stack image that serves as a visual representation of what you’re offering. Testimonials and lifestyle photos can also help enhance your opt-in pages.

Order Form Stats

If your ads and landing page seem to be functioning optimally, a problem could lie with your order forms. For a beginning offer, you should see a minimum conversion rate of 5%.

For order forms that dip below that minimum conversion rate, there are a few ways to improve it.

One way is to make sure you offer quantity break discounts for products of 2x to 8x. Here, you should highlight the 4x quantity break and autoselect it for the customer to encourage them to convert.

Second, you have to name your product something unique and catchy that differentiates it from other more generic options. All of this can increase the perceived value of your product to get more people to purchase.

It’s worth noting that if you do not see the numbers you want on a small scale, they won’t likely improve on a larger scale. This is why you need to make the necessary changes early on if your campaigns are underperforming. If your ads don’t culminate in a high CTR, you need to focus on your marketing. This will drive more people to your sales funnel and purchases.

Look Ahead to the Rest of the First Week Before You Move on to New Products

Breakdown of how to organize ad spending over the first seven days

Generally, if your CTR is low and you’re not making any sales in those first three days, it’s often best to go back to the drawing board and tweak your ads, opt-in pages, or order forms. However, if you are making a few sales, the next several days will be important to monitor.

For example,  your CTR may be over 2% and your opt-in rate may be around 25% by day four. Your order form might also be seeing a 3% conversion rate. These are all good numbers when starting out with your ads.

It’s also important to keep in mind that early on in your campaigns, the Facebook algorithm will still be adjusting the targeting for your ads as it attempts to identify your customers. Because of this, your stats could potentially double later on as you feed the algorithm more customers.

Throughout the last four days of that first week, you’ll want to figure out ways to optimize your current ads. You might introduce new ad creative on day five as you remove ads that aren’t yielding good results. Some ad creative is likely to do better than other images, videos, or text. So remove ineffective assets and replace them with ads that are similar to the ones getting results. You can also target new interest groups based on interest groups that responded favorably to your previous ads.

Based on your campaign’s performance during the first seven days, you can truly get a sense of how well your ads, landing pages, and sales pages are doing. From there, you can decide what needs work and revamp your strategy accordingly.

Determine When to Cut Your Losses or Keep Moving Forward

Dropshipper adjusting his ads and monitoring results

In the first week of advertising, keep an eye out for issues during those first three critical days. If you’re making sales and seeing decent stats by day four, you can continue monitoring them for the rest of the week and optimizing your campaigns.

Your CTR simply might not be cutting it in those first few days. So it may be time to optimize your existing ads or try new ones. If you’re not seeing any opt-ins or sales by the third day, you may need to try an entirely new offer or price point. You might even move on to new products if adjustments don’t seem worth the effort.

Why Most Amazon Sellers Fail Before Becoming Profitable

People think that selling on Amazon is their ticket to the big time, that they’ll open their store on Amazon and immediately be inundated with people wanting to buy their merchandise. After all, Amazon is one of the largest selling platforms on the planet. So naturally, if they have a good product, it will sell quickly, right? But the truth is that most Amazon sellers fail before they’ve even begun. The truth is that Amazon FBA can be a waste of time and a major financial risk. This guide will show you exactly why Amazon sellers fail and why FBA is not the amazing business choice that so many people think it is.

Amazon Will Believe Larger Businesses When It Comes to Copyrights and Patents

You can have a business making $50,000 to $80,000 per month and can still lose your business because a larger business makes copyright or patent claims on your idea. It doesn’t matter if the claim is totally false. It doesn’t matter if there is no evidence. Amazon will shoot first and ask questions later. Then, a year later, when it’s proved you were right all along, the larger business has already taken your market share, and you’re left with nothing.

Amazon Sellers Fail Because the Startup Costs Are Staggering

When you’re starting with a $0 budget, Amazon is a tough place to start. Everybody tries to pretend to sell on Amazon is cheap, but it’s not. You have to buy bulk merchandise and a lot of it to make sure you keep up with demand, and that means laying out five to twenty thousand dollars in inventory upfront with no idea if it will even sell.

Added to that are advertising costs. There are literally millions of people trying to do what you are doing. If you want to stand out, you’re going to have to advertise, but ads aren’t cheap. Even if you are buying cheap ads, the odds are that no one will see them, and that’s why they’re so inexpensive.

Amazon Has No Trouble Competing With You on Their Own Site

Screen grab of Peter Pru discussing Amazon's packing cube product

Chances are, if you’re just starting, you are selling some basic commodity. If that is the case, Amazon makes it, too. Check it out for yourself; stop reading for a second and go on Amazon and put a basic commodity like packing cubes in the search engine. Amazon makes packing cubes, and it comes up first. Of course it comes up first; why wouldn’t it? They will always prioritize themselves over your small business on their site, and if you stop and think about it for a minute, that makes perfect sense.

Amazon is smart; they won’t just have one type of commodity on the market. They have so many products themselves that there’s barely room for any other competitors on the front page, and most people will buy from that initial page.

The truth is people trust the Amazon brand; after all, they’re buying from their site. So people will buy the Amazon Basic version of what you sell before they buy yours. It will be cheaper, be better advertised, and have name-brand recognition. How can you compete?

Even When Amazon Isn’t Competing With You, Someone Is

If you owned a store that made luggage, you wouldn’t have your competitor’s luggage next to it so that the customer can compare. But Amazon doesn’t care about that. You’ll never get a page to yourself, which is why many Amazon sellers fail.

If you’re not competing with an Amazon brand, your brand will be right next to some larger brand. There’s no way for you to stand out that way. If people wanted a specialty item, they’d go to the artist’s website or go to a craft website like Etsy.

Amazon is where you go for convenience. People don’t care if your product has an extra pocket when it’s right next to a cheaper product and will ship sooner.

They’re Using Your Store’s Statistics to Compete With You

Screen grab of Peter Pru discussing Amazon Basics products

If your store is successful, it will catch Amazon’s attention. If they see you’re selling some niche product incredibly well, they might start making it, too. Go back to the Amazon page and Type ‘Amazon Basic’ into the search bar. These are all the commodities that Amazon makes. They started smaller, but they can copy a store’s products every time they see a successful store.

Maybe they didn’t always make gym equipment, but they saw some stores on their site doing good business and started making the same equipment. They don’t have to pay for market testing; you’re doing it for them. They can sit back and see what’s selling before duplicating the popular products and ignoring the products that aren’t selling, and they’re doing that using your hard work. How can you possibly compete with them when they control the site, and they can make everything cheaper than you?

They won’t give you your own customer list or your own statistics to help you make your store successful. So why provide the statistics to your competitor who is using it against you? It makes no sense!

Can You Even Afford to Rank?

Amazon seller seeing competitors outrank his store

The only way to rank on Amazon is either to sell a lot of inventory and have a lot of reviews or to be Amazon itself. When you’re just starting, you will have to give away hundreds if not thousands of products for free just to get enough reviews to rank. Can you afford to compete like that? Can you afford to give away thousands of free products just to get your business started?

Look at the stores on Amazon, and you will see that they all have incentivized giveaways so that they can keep up with the number of reviews they need to keep their rank up. Of course, you could decide you don’t care about your rank. But no one will buy from your store on page five of Amazon. Amazon is all about quick, cheap sales, so many Amazon sellers fail and fade away.

5 Realistic Daily Habits That Helped Me Become a Millionaire

Empire builders, there’s no real secret to success. But if you want to know what makes the most difference, it’s this: your habits. The simple fact is that whatever you achieve in life will be the direct result of the things you do, day after day. Once you understand that life is the cumulative effect of your habits, then it becomes REALLY important to have the right ones, and that means setting deliberate and realistic daily habits.

Today I’m going to share something that I like to call BUILD, which are the five habits I do every single day. Following these habits over the last eight years has helped me build a business empire and become a millionaire. But these habits are not just about making money. In fact, one of the things that will really help you be successful in life is to become a well-rounded person. The realistic daily habits within BUILD allowed me to focus on key aspects of my businesses. But it also helps me excel in the other aspects of life. So how does BUILD work?

B Stands for Body: “How did you take care of your body today?”

Dropshipper starting his morning with exercise as one of his realistic daily habits

Being unhealthy means you get tired more often, you’re less productive, and you have a harder time concentrating. Are you going to have what it takes to build an empire in that state? I don’t think so, and that’s why health is so crucial for being successful.

The way I use the BUILD system is to sit down each quarter (or every three months) and come up with specific goals for each habit. In the case of the Body habit, your goal can be anything that you know will be excellent for your health. You might take a 45-minute walk, drink a green smoothie, or lift weights. It all depends on what works for you, which is what makes this system highly adaptable. Switch up your goals every quarter so that you can keep pushing yourself and make progress with your overall health.

What I recommend, and what I do, is keeping track of your daily habits in a physical notebook by writing BUILD at the top of the page each day. Once you’ve accomplished the goal for your Body habit, you get the great satisfaction of circling that B each day. What that means is you’re taking care of your body and creating the foundations for success.

U Stands for You: “What did you do today that you wanted to do?”

Screen grab of Peter Pru discussing the 'U' in BUILD

Again, you really need to create a well-rounded life if you want to be successful. This goal is all about avoiding burnout and making sure you have the time to enjoy hobbies or interests.

Right now, my You goal is to get back into golf. This is a sport that I used to love years ago, but I had stopped at some point and kind of forgot about it. But now I’m back to playing golf at least once or twice a week and absolutely loving it. Your You goal might be playing chess, learning a new language, playing video games, or literally anything else.  Give yourself permission to enjoy doing something you really want to do every single day.

I Stands for Income: “Did you do something to make money today?”

This one is obviously key, and it will look totally different depending on where you are with building your businesses. When I was getting started, the goals for my Income habit were all about making sales. It was literally “Did I make $1000 today?”.

My Income goals have changed so much since then because my businesses have grown, and now I have a whole team. At this point, I’m guaranteed to make money because I have a really solid foundation. That means the goals for my Income habit will now revolve around the broader picture of everything that I do with my team, like developing new ideas and building up the systems and processes that we’ve already put into place.

Keep in mind that this goal can also be something that relates to making money in the future. Doing something that’s really going to help push your business forward definitely counts!

If you’re just getting started with your business, you really just have to be honest with yourself about what are the best ways to institute this habit for your unique situation. I talk a lot about the important realistic daily habits for building income inside our Ecommerce Empire Builders Academy, including what I call The Daily 6 and The Daily 3. This is something I cover in the first module of the course, so make sure you check it out!

L Stands for Relationships: “How did you make business relationships that can help your empire?” AND “How did you take care of your family and friends today?”

Someone chatting with friends and family over video

Obviously, there are two kinds of relationships here, and they’re both essential parts of your realistic daily habits — and your life. When it comes to your professional relationships, you’re just not going to get very far if you don’t network with other individuals that can help grow your business. So try:

  • Reaching out to an influencer who promotes products in your niche
  • Making a strategic contact at a conference
  • Hiring someone to help you with certain tasks
  • Something totally different that suits your business

You should always be thinking about how to make and improve the relationships that can help your business.

And then we get to relationships that are even MORE important, which include your family and friends. The BUILD system is truly designed to give you a well-rounded life. The money will come, but you definitely don’t want it at the expense of not having good relationships with the people closest to you. Make it a daily habit to spend that quality time with them, even if it’s just sending a quick text.

D Stands for Development: “How did you develop yourself today?”

Learning is how you grow, and it should definitely become a daily habit. Personally, I love reading. My development goals will typically be reading a book or going through some sort of useful online course that can help me sharpen some skills.

There’s really an endless number of ways to develop yourself through realistic daily habits. But the most important thing is that you have to actually implement whatever you learned.

For example, if you’re reading this, or you’re watching a video on my Youtube channel, that’s great. But are you going to actually incorporate these habits into your life and do it consistently? Because otherwise, it doesn’t even count.

In general, development only works if you take action based on the things you learn. Remember that your time is, by far, your most valuable asset. If you learn about these realistic daily habits but never do anything useful with that knowledge, then it’s pointless to even learn about them. If you learn about my dropshipping hacks and never use them in your business, it’s pointless to know about them. Even worse, I just took your most valuable asset! Don’t allow that to happen.

Make sure the time you spend on development is really providing value for you. Yes, even when it comes to my own content. Don’t just consume it for the sake of consuming it. DO something with it. Otherwise, it’s really just a distraction from your goals, and that’s the opposite of what I’m trying to do here.

Consult With the Pros

How One of Our Clients Made $200 in His First Week of Dropshipping

One of our Business in a Box clients, Fredrick, experienced an impressive level of success with his dropshipping business. In his first week of dropshipping, he made $200. Here, we’ll explore his personal success story and some insights he has to offer that you can apply to your own dropshipping efforts.

Fredrick’s story is yet another example of what you can achieve as a dropshipper, whether you’re new to eCommerce or a veteran in the industry.

How Encounters with “Gurus” Inspired New Career Goals

Fredrick’s dropshipping journey began around one and a half years ago. He came across several ads on Facebook featuring eCommerce gurus. In those ads, these so-called experts would show off the millions of dollars they were supposedly making. Fredrick thought that if they could do it, then so could he.

From there, Fredrick signed up for an Amazon FBA course to get him started. However, he wasn’t getting to the point where he was able to sell products as opposed to investing in inventory.

(As a side note, we believe that Amazon FBA can be a great way for beginners to get into eCommerce. But we also advise against using Amazon as your primary dropshipping platform.)

Be careful of relying on Amazon, which is more interested in helping themselves rather than its sellers. We recommend building your business on your own eCommerce platform first. Then use Amazon as a supplemental platform.

Discovering Ecommerce Empire Builders and the Value of Outside Help

Screen grab of Peter Pru and Fredrick discussing the importance of working with a team

While still struggling to get his dropshipping business off the ground, Fredrick discovered our videos on YouTube, which introduced him to the concept of dropshipping funnels. Like many other dropshippers, Fredrick wasn’t sure what to change about his business to make it successful. We understand that it takes work to experience success. That can entail everything from changing niches and products to making drastic changes to ad campaigns.

What inspired Fredrick to hire Ecommerce Empire Builders to help him with his business was the fact that he valued his time. But Fredrick also knew that he had a lot to learn to make informed business decisions and see growth.

The fact is that nobody is great at everything. Fredrick understood that he would need some outside help to ensure his business had the chance to thrive. While dropshipping used to be easy, with most individuals being able to do just about everything on their own a decade ago, times have changed. Today, it pays to work with specialized professionals with the resources and expertise needed to facilitate growth. This was something Fredrick was willing to do.

Our team started working on his business and preparing it for launch. Fredrick continued to learn more on his own and sought products to sell. He also delved into copywriting and other aspects of his business during that first week of dropshipping and beyond, contributing to his business’s growth and supplementing our efforts.

Understanding That There Are No Magicians in eCommerce

Unlike many of those “gurus” out there who make it sound easy to make millions in a matter of months, weeks, or even days of launching a business, we want to make it clear that there is no formula for success. We are not magicians. Every business out there will experience success at different rates. While many of our Business in a Box clients have seen success right out of the gate, Fredrick was an exception. It takes time to turn your dropshipping business into a success.

In Fredrick’s case, the third time was the charm when it came to launching his business. The first two attempts at dropshipping didn’t bring much success. But the third was where we were finally able to reach his goals. While we worked to find out what would propel his business to success, Fredrick put his trust in us and allowed us to keep trying different strategies. Eventually, we were able to work with him to build a business that yielded optimal results.

Goals That Keep Fredrick Moving Forward: Going Beyond That First Week of Dropshipping

Screen grab of Fredrick discussing his goals

At Ecommerce Empire Builders, we also understand that an integral component of success is good goal setting. To keep him motivated and moving toward the next big opportunity, Fredrick has set several goals for himself. His current goals are to:

  • Hit $10k per month
  • Keep learning skills such as copywriting
  • Build his business in the long term

Fredrick is one of our clients who has a good understanding of the work involved in succeeding with an online business. While our team is here to provide reliable help, we can’t make any guarantees.

No dropshipper should ever expect instant success. Even if they think they have everything in place, it can take some tweaking and drastic changes to finally determine what works. However, having a team of experts behind your business can make sure that you’re not alone in your efforts. Several professionals bring different perspectives to the table to pinpoint the most efficient strategies.

By looking at different ads, upsells, and other components and the metrics behind them, your team can help streamline your funnel to generate the best possible results. For example, with some diligence and reworking of Fredrick’s strategies, one of his upsells managed to reach a conversion rate of 17-18%. Of course, there’s always room for improvement. But it’s a matter of persistence and never giving up, even when things don’t initially seem to be going as planned.

The Importance of Starting Instead of Waiting: Make This Week Your First Week of Dropshipping

Dropshipper reading books to pick up new skills

Fredrick’s ultimate takeaway in working with us was that it’s best to get started on your business as soon as possible. The longer you wait before launching your business, the more time you’ll waste as nothing gets done. Many dropshippers strive for perfection with their ventures. But success takes time and effort, and perfection is ordinarily impossible during the first week of dropshipping. Over time, as you build your business and optimize your strategies, you’ll be able to gear your business for long-term success.

Do you want to find out more about how you can succeed with your dropshipping business the way Fredrick has? Then reserve your seat at our free eCommerce masterclass. We’ll show you how you can build your business and harness the power of funnels to earn a full-time income online. One Easy Way to Make Money Online as a Broke Beginner Today

There may seem like plenty of opportunities to make money online today, from opening an ecommerce store to affiliate marketing. However, if you’re a beginner looking for one of the best ways to make money online on a tight budget, we’ve found one proven way to build your business, regardless of your starting budget. Here we’ll go over our proven strategy that can get you on your way to earning a full-time income online.

Find Your Niche

Many people just starting to make money online make the mistake of looking for winning products that are merely the most popular. Even if you believe that finding the right product is the key, you’ll wind up trying to figure out who is interested in that product. Ultimately, you need to focus on the people you’re selling to and their niche. Based on this niche, you can determine which products those people are buying. At the same time, you can figure out how to differentiate yourself from the myriad competitors out there selling to the same niche.

When searching for a niche, look for certain hobbies that people love. Ideally, you should pick a hobby that you also personally enjoy, which can help you put yourself in your customers’ shoes as you sell to them. There are hundreds of hobbies and passions out there to choose from, but try to avoid spending too much time finding one.

Factors to Look for in a Winning Niche

As you choose your niche, there are certain factors to consider that will help you make the right choice. As you select your niche, make sure that:

1. It’s Evergreen

If you want to experience long-term success with your niche, you need to find a niche that’s not going to go away. This is why you should focus on an evergreen niche such as passions or hobbies.

2. There Isn’t Too Much Brand Loyalty

In addition to being evergreen, your target niche shouldn’t be too competitive to the point where it’s too hard to get ahead. There will always be competition, regardless of the niche you choose. But try not to go into one where you’ll be competing mainly with established giants like Apple.

3. There’s an Even Mix of Physical and Digital Products

It’s also important to ensure your niche has a balance of physical and digital products. This will enable you to generate multiple revenue streams within your niche so you can make money online.

Finding Example Products Within the Niche

Peter Pru showing how to browse for product ideas on Amazon

Once you’ve found your niche based on the criteria listed above, you can begin searching for profitable products within that niche.

Browse Amazon for Relevant Products

As an example, golf is a popular niche that can yield success for many people new to ecommerce. When looking for golf products to sell, you can start your search on Amazon. It’s important to keep in mind that you shouldn’t start immediately selling on Amazon, seeing as this platform is out for itself and can essentially “steal” business from you if you rely on it from the start. Amazon is great for supplemental income streams, but you’ll only be helping Amazon grow if you make it your primary ecommerce platform.

What you’re looking for on Amazon are example products to give you some ideas. For example, when searching for “beginner golf,” a mix of physical and digital products shows up. You’ll see a selection of books—including Kindle eBooks—along with golf clubs and golfing aids. All of these indicate that you’ve found a great niche capable of giving you ample income from several sources.

Search for Products to Sell on AliExpress and ThePLRStore.com

Now that you know what kinds of possibilities there are within your niche, you can begin looking for products to actually sell. For physical products, you’ll want to look for a dropshipping supplier on AliExpress. For digital products, you can visit ThePLRStore.com.

Determine What Sets Your Products Apart From Competitors’ Offerings

As you search for products, it’s also crucial to figure out what differentiates your products and business from competitors’. The fact is that we live in a time when it’s easy for people to find the products they want nearly anywhere online, including Amazon. You need to figure out how to get people to buy from you specifically over competing brands.

You can differentiate yourself and your offerings by showing how your products:

  • Save money
  • Save time
  • Simply have a unique appeal

Crafting Your Offer to Make Money Online

Dropshipper thinking about how to optimize his product offer

With your products and differentiating factors determined, you can begin developing a compelling offer. For instance, suppose you find a selection of golfing eBooks and golfing aids. You don’t want to sell them separately in hopes of earning income through both. Instead, create a package of both physical and digital products that’s unique and appealing to your audience.

The key to being successful as an online business, above all else, is to offer value to your audience that they won’t find elsewhere. Offering a combination of helpful physical and digital products is instrumental in conveying the value you bring.

The plain truth is that if you try to take shortcuts to make money, it’s unlikely that it will work.

Using AliExpress and ThePLRStore.com

Peter Pru discussing how to find upsell ideas

Generally, AliExpress is one of the best places to look for a good supplier for your physical products. When searching for “beginner golf” products, you’ll find a large selection in this niche alone. However, as you look for products to offer, the best policy is to look for products that your audience is already buying.

You’re likely to find many great products that people are buying on Amazon and that they can find for even less through AliExpress. When it comes to developing an offer that gets people to buy your products specifically, this is where ThePLRStore.com comes in handy. At ThePLRStore.com, you’ll find a wide selection of information products, including eBooks, guides, worksheets, and more. PLR stands for “private label rights,” which means that when you purchase eBooks or other materials through ThePLRStore.com, you can rebrand them to be your own and represent your business.

On ThePLRStore.com, we found a golf guide package containing a whole list of articles that cover a wide range of topics. You can rebrand these articles to be yours. Then either sell them or give them away for free when you sell your physical products. If you’re wondering why you can’t simply sell digital products, the fact is that they’re often difficult to sell on the front end. On the other hand, if you package them with physical products, you can easily make a killing with these products.

Setting Up the Sales Funnel

After selecting your products and creating offers with uniquely appealing bundles, you can begin implementing them in your ecommerce business by developing a funnel. There are several core components of a winning funnel that will help you maximize conversions.

The Squeeze Page

Don’t just simply driving traffic from an ad to your Shopify store or another ecommerce store. You should bring people to what’s called a squeeze page. This page is the first step in the funnel that will convert traffic into customers. These pages ask for items like the person’s name, email, phone number, and other relevant information to lead to an instant purchase.

The squeeze page will then detail the specific offer you want to provide, including the different products and their features. This is also the page where you should detail the specific benefits of turning to you over competitors, whether you’re saving people time or money or solving another pain point.

If your squeeze page is effective, you’ll be able to save a lot of clicks. You’ll also convert people earlier in the buying process than you would with a bare-bones ecommerce store.

OTO Pages

One-time-offer (OTO) pages are pages intended to offer upsells once a customer has made an initial purchase. Keep in mind that both squeeze pages and OTO pages are for one-click sales. There are no shopping carts involved in an effective funnel. You can include as many upsells as you want to maximize your average cart value (ACV). But try not to annoy your audience, and ensure each upsell adds value to customers’ purchases. One or two great upsells can be the key to maximizing sales.

One of the best ways to find out which products are best to offer on OTO pages is to look at Amazon for items that are “Frequently Bought Together.”

Find Your Niche and Build a Winning Sales Funnel to Make Money Online

If you’re working with a minimal budget and want to make money online anywhere in the world, this strategy can help you achieve your goals. You just need to:

  • Find your niche.
  • Locate the right products within that niche.
  • Build an effective funnel with a series of enticing offers and bundles.

Then you’ll be able to increase your revenue on a long-term basis.

For more details about how to build a full-time income online regardless of your starting budget, attend our free ecommerce masterclass. Then watch more videos about how to implement winning sales strategies on my YouTube channel. You’ll learn how you can harness the power of funnels to generate more traffic and drastically increase your earnings.

Student Success Story: How to Use Dropshipping Funnels to Make $50k a Month

Yet another success story that highlights the value of dropshipping sales funnels and persistence is that of Jacob Jones, one of our students here at Ecommerce Empire Builders. Jacob managed to go from zero to $50,000 per month using a winning strategy. He continues to thrive in his niche, largely by knowing how to use dropshipping funnels through Clickfunnels. Here we’ll go over his story and the specific strategies he’s used over the years, which you can implement for your own dropshipping business.

Starting With a Simple Shopify Store and a Simple Idea

Around three years ago, while working as a server and in real estate, Jacob and his friend decided to give dropshipping a try. Shortly after launching his store and getting some traffic to it, Jacob began making a few sales and began to see the possibilities of ecommerce. Those few sales were enough to inspire him to keep trying. So he decided to launch a Shopify store before getting into Clickfunnels.

Jacob didn’t try to launch his business without some outside help, however. He began watching YouTube videos and other content to educate himself about dropshipping strategies that could fuel his success. After some learning and contemplation, Jacob finally decided to launch his store and focus on a specific niche with the hope that it would work in his favor. A few stores later, Jacob has seen the success that he aspired to from the start.

The first store that Jacob launched was on Shopify and focused on a highly specific niche. Today, that store is still running and succeeding. At the time of launch, Jacob was working full-time. He decided to wait to see how the store would perform before making dropshipping his focus. As he began to make sales and see the opportunities available to him, he started to grow his business. Jacob also built a relationship with a reliable supplier that’s still going strong. Eventually, after seeing a considerable amount of sales with a basic store selling baby bags, Jacob moved to Costa Rica and left his full-time job to focus solely on growing his brand.

Additionally, Jacob has recently begun using Clickfunnels. He learned how to use dropshipping funnels that move customers toward a sale more efficiently.

Making His Products Feel Like His Own

It’s important to make your products feel like your own and ensure customers associate them with your unique brand. Jacob understood this early on and continues to seek white-labeled products that he can rebrand with his own custom-designed packaging. This way, his customers receive his products and perceive him as their key provider, not merely a reseller. Subsequently, customers are more likely to visit his store again to purchase the same or similar products.

Keep in mind that when selling on an eCommerce store, people will want to purchase whatever assets belong to your business. A basic store selling AliExpress products with no rebranding can still be valuable as you collect emails and other assets. But your individual brand could also be a huge selling point. This is particularly the case if you have long-term customers who’ve come to trust your brand over others.

Setting Goals That Drive His Success

Screen grab of Jacob Jones and Peter Pru talking about how to use dropshipping funnels

Another key to Jacob’s success has been to set clear, realistic, and exciting goals that keep him continually motivated. One of his main current goals is to get into the Two Comma Club by the end of the year. He’s well on the way to achieving this goal. To attain this, he’s developing a store he launched about a month ago through Clickfunnels. So far, the new store has earned him around $95k. Another Shopify store that he started in May 2020 has already earned him around half a million within a year.

One key goal that Jacob believes will help him achieve his ultimate goal is to continue using sales funnels via Clickfunnels. He intends on implementing this in future stores.

How to Use Dropshipping Funnels by Working With a Solid Team

Jacob also understands the value of a strong team working with him to achieve his dropshipping goals. If you want to go it entirely alone, you’re going to struggle. As your store grows, tasks will become overwhelming and difficult to manage. To keep his stores running efficiently, Jacob works with a virtual assistant. He’s also quick to emphasize the importance of delegating mundane and time-consuming tasks whenever possible.

Jacob’s team is relatively small, consisting of him, a VA, and his supplier. But he intends to recruit more staff as his business continues to expand. Once you know how to use dropshipping funnels effectively, you can start to scale your business, too.

Sticking to an Effective Daily Routine

To help him stay focused on a regular basis, Jacob has developed a healthy daily routine that he follows. Now that he’s self-employed, he has ample time to dedicate to his business, which is reflected in his routine. Although you may not be at this level quite yet, you can get there eventually with the same persistence.

To start off his day, Jacob wakes up anywhere between 8 and 8:30 AM. He then begins writing down his daily tasks to establish a clear roadmap from dawn to dusk. As the day progresses, he checks off these items to keep him in line. This strategy gives him specific plans for every day, making sure he stays busy and productive.

Managing a Dependable Network of Ads

Screen grab of Jacob Jones and Peter Pru talking about dropshipping

Jacob also relies on several channels for his ads as part of his strategy for how to use dropshipping funnels. In addition to Facebook, which attracts around 90% of his total traffic, he runs ads through Snapchat, Google Ads, and TikTok. While he’s currently struggling with a Facebook ad campaign for his Clickfunnels store due to his specific niche, he’s working to mitigate this and get the most from this platform.

We believe that it’s perfectly fine to target multiple channels for ads as long as your target audience uses those platforms. But this isn’t necessary, either. We’ve found that many successful dropshipping businesses are able to pull in most of their customer base from a single source, such as Facebook or YouTube. If you can find that one specific channel that yields the best results, we definitely recommend sticking with it. The fewer platforms you use for ads, the easier your campaigns will be to manage.

Harnessing the Power of Email Lists

As he works to monetize non-buyers for his business, Jacob is proud of his email lists, which he sees as his main assets. It took him some time to begin building email lists, but he eventually took the time to get them up and running to his benefit. In the process, he’s been able to more easily stay in front of customers’ faces and connect with prospects and existing customers alike.

We perceive email lists as particularly valuable because of their ability to influence people’s buying decisions more effectively than other marketing efforts. You can:

  • Show your recipients videos of influencers using your products.
  • Send enticing offers.
  • Showcase your brand in other ways to keep your audience aware of you.

Consistency Is a Key Part of How to Use Dropshipping Funnels

When asked what Jacob recommends most to others looking to get into this business, he stated that persistence and consistency were vital. Jacob is able to devote most of his time to his endeavors now that he’s self-employed. But even if you’re still working a full-time job, you can gain the freedom he has by sticking to a strategy that works. Don’t be deterred by slow periods, and keep at it until you begin to grow your business. Over time, you’ll be able to overcome the various challenges you’re likely to face and then experience the kind of success that Jacob continues to enjoy.

Like most success stories, Jacob’s is one of hard work and resilience that helped him get ahead. What helps him to grow further and move forward is the fact that he still doesn’t see his story as one of success quite yet. He’s always aiming toward a new goal to land him on the next plateau.

You, too, can build a winning dropshipping business by using sales funnels, high-quality and rebranded products, comprehensive ad campaigns, and a generally consistent strategy.
